The Basic Education Faculty of Naga College Foundation held last April 20-23 a Summer Training Enrichment Program.  This is a yearly enhancement program designed to update the NCF Faculty on educational trends & strategies.  Envisioning NCF to be a school of choice in the region and one of the leading educational institutions in the country, the Basic Education Department will be adopting a new instructional approach known as the Understanding By Design or UBD.  Launching of the said method will be this June 2010 in time for the coming school year.  Invited Resource Speakers were Ms. Jesusa Bibe-Taumatorgo, an Instructor from the Central Bicol State University for Agriculture; Ms. Melvi A. Briones, NCF BED Academic Supervisor; Dr. Meda San Juan, NCF Dean of the Liberal Arts & Education Department; Ms. Teenarose O. Castroverde, NCF Acting Director of the Human Resource Management Office; and Mr. Ramon H. Nuiz, NCF Principal.

The 4-day program laid out team building activities, self enhancement workshops, curriculum review & development, classroom management and, of course, the introduction of the new UBD Tool; thus anticipating a stronger & improved NCF Basic Education Faculty.
