Tick-Tock… Hurry Now… Race to the Top

The transition from elementary to high school and high school to college can be a daunting process for freshmen. With new subjects, new classmates and a much different academic world it's easy for them to feel lost and confused. Hence Naga College Foundation alleviates some of these feelings through a Freshman Orientation Program.  Around 1,000 first year students in both college and high school levels got involved in various activities.

The College Orientation-Seminar (ORSEM) was realized last June 11 at the NCF Quad.  The young students were provided with useful information & tips on how to adjust to their new environment and adapt to the so called ‘college life’.  The NCF Guidance & Testing Center, who spearheaded this event, supplied a campus tour wherein freshmen were introduced to the different offices and departments of Naga College Foundation.

The High School ORSEM had a different twist to their freshmen ‘initiation’.  The first part was a program at the Science & Technology Auditorium last June 17 while the second part was an ‘amazing race style’ endeavor last June 22.  Here students not only enjoyed a diverse approach in introducing Naga College Foundation, they even practiced their imagination, ability and teamwork.
